One way that Christians become more like Jesus is by exercising our gifts and talents to minister to the local church.

What are the current opportunities to serve at BBC?

Below are many of the ways that you can get involved and serve at Bethany Baptist Church.

AV Team

General Tasks: Support Sunday worship services by projecting video slides, balancing sound, and live streaming.

When would I serve: Sun. 8:30-11:00am

Requirements: Minimal (training provided!)

Team Leader: Josh Gobrogge

Child Check-In
General Tasks: Make sure little ones get signed in and taken to class.

When would I serve: Sun. 9:15-9:30am, 10:45-11:00am, 12:15-12:30pm

Requirements: Complete Child Safety Form

Team Leader: BBC Office

Cleaning Crews
General Tasks: Work with a team of 4-6 people to tidy and sanitize our BBC facility.

When would I serve: Approximately once every 6 weeks

Requirements: Minimal

Team Leader: Chelsea DeKryger

Coffee Fellowship
General Tasks: Set up for and clean up after Coffee Fellowship Time

When would I serve: Flexible

Requirements: Minimal

Team Leader: Leanne Black

College Ministry
General Tasks: Adopt a student or be willing to be adopted!

When would I serve: As much as you are able – the goal is to build relationships!

Requirements: Minimal

Dump Trailer
General Tasks: Help take the trash trailer to the Houghton transfer station

When would I serve: About twice a year

Requirements: Minimal

Team Leader: Matt Fifield

Donut Pickup
General Tasks: Pick up donuts from Tadych’s & bring to church by 9:00am

When would I serve: Flexible

Requirements: Minimal

Team Leader: BBC Office

Kids 4 Truth
General Tasks: Facilitate games & small group time; teach large group lessons.

When would I serve: Wed. 6-8pm

Requirements: *Teachers*: BBC Members

*Helpers*: Complete Child Safety Form

Team Leader: Steve/Rachel Barnhart

Nursery
General Tasks: Playing with and caring for 0-23 month olds

When would I serve: Sun. 9:15-11:00; 11:00-12:15 and/or Wed. 6:15-8:15pm

Requirements: *Adults*: Child Safety Form

*Youth*: 12+ years old

Team Leader: BBC Office

Systems
General Tasks: Check-in kids, supervise gym time, lead music, teach lessons & lead small group time.

When would I serve: Sun. 11:15-12:15

Requirements: Complete Child Safety Form (some roles require BBC membership)

Team Leader: Julie Cischke

Toddlers
General Tasks: Adult teacher to lead lessons.

Adult and youth helpers to help with class for 2-4 year olds.

When would I serve: Sun. 9:15-11:00; 11:00-12:15

Requirements: *Teachers*: BBC Member + Child Safety Form

*Adults*: Child Safety Form

*Youth*: 10+ years old

Team Leader: BBC Office

Worship Team
General Tasks: Help lead BBC congregation in corporate worship.

When would I serve: Sun. 8:30-10:45am

Requirements: BBC Member
