Labor Day Weekend:
On Labor Day weekend (Sunday 9/2) there will be no Sunday school or evening ministries. Our Sunday Morning Worship Service will take place at the usual time (9:30am).
Promotion Sunday:
Sunday, Sept. 9th will be Promotion Sunday. On this Sunday all the new Sunday school classes for adults and children begin. We will take few minutes to introduce the children to their teachers and make sure that everyone knows where to go. More details on this are coming!
Here are a list of the classes that will be offered this fall:
CHILDREN’S CLASSES:
Nursery – (infants ages 0-23 months) stay in the Nursery for both the Worship Service and Sunday school hour
Toddlers – (ages 2 – 4) remain in the Toddler classroom during Fellowship time for a snack of their own, then have their own Sunday school class using the Discipleland Preschool curriculum.
All classes below will accompany their parents to the Fellowship Time from 10:45 – 11:15. A short Promotion Sunday ceremony will ensure that students meet their new teachers and can find their classrooms. For the 2018-2019 school year Sunday School classes will be as follows:
4’s & 5’s – (children starting kindergarten this fall or next fall) will be studying through the Heroes of the Bible using the Discipleland Kindergarten curriculum.
1st & 2nd grade – (children starting either 1st or 2nd grade this fall) will be learning about God’s Greatness and how we got the Bible, using the Discipleland curriculum.
3rd – 5th grade GIRLS – (girls starting 3rd – 5th grades this fall) will be beginning a study of the life of Christ using the Discipleland curriculum.
3rd – 5th grade BOYS – (boys starting 3rd – 5th grades this fall) will be continuing their study of the life of Jesus using the Disicpleland curriculum.
Middle School Class – (grades 6 – 8) will be growing in their own faith and learning how to share that faith with others.
High School Class – (grades 9 – 12) will be studying through the Bible Chronologically.
ADULT CLASSES:
How to Study the Bible – A 12-week class on interpreting the Bible as instructed in the Bible. This class will be led by Steve Barnhart and Kit Cischke. Click here for more information on this class.
