This year Bethany Baptist is going to celebrate Independence Day in two special ways:
1.) Popsicle Give-Away
We will need 2 or more families to be in charge of setting up the booth and handing out the treats. Volunteers will meet here at 10 am and should plan to be ready to start handing out popsicles by 11:00 am in time for the parade which begins at noon. When the parade is over, there will be a brief time of clean-up before volunteers can head home.
2.) BBC Parade Float
This year we will be constructing a float to participate in the Lake Linden, Hubbell and Dollar Bay parades. We are looking for help with the construction as well as for volunteers to ride on the float and walk in the parade.
Float construction will take place on Saturday June 30th at Ed DeForge’s barn. (Ed’s barn is on M-26, between the Drive-Thru Depot and Louies’ SuperFoods.) Please meet at Ed’s at 10:00am, ready to do some building!
