Starting in September, join us Wednesday evenings for Bible study, discussion, prayer and some time focused on the little ones.
Growing Together is our current effort to facilitate true, Christ-centered fellowship as well as continue to build and equip the saints at BBC. We will all be together in one room – from the youngest to the oldest of us – to study the book of Isaiah, practice discussing scripture, and sharing in prayer. While we aim to focus portions of this time on the children present, we also hope that modeling Biblical discussion and time in prayer will also encourage our children.
Families with children of ALL ages should plan to attend Growing Together. Upon arriving at the church, families will be assigned to a “pod” (a group of 10-15 people). These pods will consist of 10-15 chairs set up in a circle, with as much distance as is practical between pods. Toddlers can be expected to play on the floor near their parents – so please bring some toys for them. Elementary school age children can plan to participate in the children’s portion of the teaching and then will have some worksheets and activities to help keep their hands busy and ears open during the adult teaching. Middle school and older students will enjoy participating fully in this exciting look at the book of Isaiah.
Participant Guides are available as a tool to follow along during the teaching, as well as providing 5 extra devotionals designed to further the learning begun in the group session. Please contact the office for more information on this resource.
Meeting as whole family units will require everyone to be gracious and understanding. Growing Together will remind all of us that children are a blessing from the Lord and will be a ministry that impacts ALL of us – regardless of age.
We hope you will join us for Growing Together on Wednesdays starting 9/16/20, 6:30-7:45pm in the Fellowship Hall.
