Adults will be studying Ezra and Nehemiah, guided by a variety of teachers who are utilizing the book Exalting Jesus in Ezra-Nehemiah by James M, Hamilton.
Exalting Jesus in Ezra and Nehehmiah is part of the Christ-Centered Exposition series edited by David Platt, Daniel L. Akin, and Tony Merida; this new commentary series, projected to be 48 volumes, takes a Christ-centered approach to expositing each book of the Bible. Rather than a verse-by-verse approach, the authors have crafted chapters that explain and apply key passages in their assigned Bible books. Readers will learn to see Christ in all aspects of Scripture, and they will be encouraged by the devotional nature of each exposition. Exalting Jesus in Ezra-Nehemiah is written by Jim Hamilton.
Women’s Studies:
Mid-Week Ladies’ Bible Studies
During the 2024/2025 school year, we have 5 women’s studies that meet throughout the week. All of the women’s groups will study through The Good Portion: GOD and then transition to an inductive study of Jonah, Micah, Nahum, & Habakkuk.

- Wednesday 6:45 – 8:00 pm @ Bethany Baptist Church
These studies are intended to dig deeply into scripture. Bring your Bible, a pencil and a notebook. Contact the office to find out how you can get a copy of this year’s Bible study material or get more information on joining one of our groups. You can join at any time! Some of the advantages of participating in a mid-week Women’s study are getting to know other ladies more deeply, sharing what you are learning and the accountability to stay on track!

- Thursdays, 7:00-8:00am @ Bethany Baptist Church (Fellowship Hall – lower level)
Bring your Bible, notebooks and a pencil. These are in-depth studies of scripture. These studies are structured but also geared to stimulate discussion and application. You can join at any time. A great advantage to participating is being able to connect during the week to share what you are learning.
Men’s Systematic Theology Class*
Pastor Brian is leading the class through Wayne Grudem’s Systematic Theology. This class will meet on alternating Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm. The schedule will follow the normal school year, taking occasional breaks from holidays and the summer season. The entire material will take over two years to complete.
Starting in September, 2024 the Men will begin Unit 2 : The Doctrine of God
