What to Expect
Welcome to Bethany Baptist Church! We are an independent, Bible-based church affiliated with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC). We’re glad you’ve found us and our website and hope you find what you’re looking for here.
Regular Sunday Worship – 9:30 AM
Our goal is to worship God in all that we do during the service, from the preaching of the Word to the ordinances, from prayer to the public reading of scripture, and from the offering to our singing.
We have a mix of contemporary and traditional musical elements as we respect the faith of our fathers while seeing where God is leading His church today. There might be a guitar and bass playing up front and it might just be piano and organ. We want to help all of our attenders engage in musical worship of our mighty and gracious God.
Teaching is generally exegetical and occasionally topical. It is always Biblical, so bring your Bible with you. Our teaching pastor primarily uses the English Standard Version (ESV), but all faithful translations are welcome. Each message is meant to be relevant and applicable to your life.
Coffee and refreshments – 10:45 AM
Our church is a family of believers and fellowship is an important part of that. Built into our Sunday schedule is time for encouragement and support.
Sunday School – 11:15 AM
A crucial part of our ministry is Christian education for all ages. Please see the Sunday School page for more information on our current offerings. They are always changing, so feel free to drop in and grow in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior with us.
Wednesday Evening – 6:30 PM
During the school year, we typically have Wednesday night offerings for every age group as well! Our Kids 4 Truth programs (Pre-K through 6th grade) ground kids in Biblical fundamentals, Scripture memorization, and fun games. Youth group programs exist for the Middle School and High School students. Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies and prayer time are held for adults. Come and get over the “hump day” at BBC!
Sunday Evenings
Even in a smaller church like BBC, it can be hard to connect on a deep level with other members. To that end, we have a strong small group ministry and twice a month share dinner together as a congregation.
On the first and third Sunday evenings, we typically meet in the Fellowship Hall for a Family Life Dinner where we share a potluck-style dinner, hear a brief devotional or testimony and leave time to discuss and pray together.
Our small groups typically meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month – although some of our groups are currently meeting on Friday or Saturday evenings. Check out our Small Group page to learn more and find one that meets near you!
