UPDATE ON ASSOCIATE PASTOR SEARCH

As most of you know, our church leadership continues to seek a new pastoral staff member for the Associate Pastor position.  Your prayers and encouragement throughout this process are greatly appreciated, and we want to thank you for your faithfulness.  We also would ask for your continued prayers as we progress with interviewing a possible candidate.

Pastor Brian and the deacons will be formally interviewing Caleb Jackson and his wife Kelsey over the upcoming New Years weekend.  As part of their visit, Caleb will also be preaching in the the morning worship service on December 31st.  At this time, we are not presenting Caleb to the church membership as a candidate for affirmation.  Rather, they are here as our guests, as we consider Caleb’s qualifications and fit for our church, and how our ministry opportunity and community might be a fit for them.  If our leadership decides to move forward with them as a Pastoral Candidate, we will have them back for a second visit for formal evaluation by the membership.  This would occur prior to seeking a vote of affirmation.

Please continue to be in prayer regarding this process, for our leadership as they seek discernment in guiding our church, and for the Jackson’s as they travel and consider Bethany as a potential next step in ministry.
